FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What is evidence-based therapy?
Evidence-based therapy refers to treatment approaches that are grounded in scientific research and have been proven effective through clinical trials and studies. These therapies are designed to provide measurable and reliable results.
2. How long does therapy take?
The duration of therapy varies for each individual based on their unique needs, goals, and progress. Some clients may benefit from short-term therapy, while others may find long-term therapy more effective. We will regularly review your goals to ensure that therapy is meeting your needs.
3. What should I expect during a psychological evaluation?
A psychological evaluation typically involves a combination of interviews, standardized tests, and questionnaires to assess various aspects of your cognitive, emotional, and psychological functioning. The goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of your strengths and challenges to inform treatment recommendations. Read more about the full testing experience here.
4. Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept a variety of insurance plans. Please contact our office for more information about specific providers and coverage options. We encourage clients to contact their insurance company to verify your plan coverage for psychotherapy and/or psychological assessment services.
*Please note: Due to a new state policy, master's-level clinicians, such as Victoria, are no longer able to provide autism evaluations for clients 20 and younger with Medicaid (Sunflower, UHC KanCare, and Healthy Blue). If there are other concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, or other behavioral concerns, evaluation services can still be offered. However, autism testing cannot be included. For clients with Medicaid searching for these services, we recommended calling your insurance company directly and asking for a list of providers who are eligible.
5. How do I schedule an appointment?
